Silence prevailed in the room as my group members and I gave our full attention to our new supervisor, Mr. Ian, who was explaining something to us. He started by asking each one of us our names.
“Nice meeting you all. Mr. Hunter might not be available to supervise you; however, I will be notifying him of all the processes. Judging by your appearances…” he said, sparing the four of us a look. “I know you guys aren’t lazy ones. So, Mr. Hunter and I are putting our trust in you all. Winning the competition would also be an opportunity for the teachers. When someone fails a test, it doesn’t mean that person is stupid. It will pave a way for you to improve on yourself, to become better than before. So, I want you all to work hard.”
For some reason, I liked his words of motivation. His words gave me strength and determination, and I prayed it was the same for the guys.
