Nora and I went to the restaurant that we usually went to outside of school to eat lunch before the next class, which was Mr. Hunter’s class. I wasn’t looking forward to that, though. If I could, I wouldn’t sit in his class. But then, I wouldn’t involve my personal problems with him in my school stuff. Unless he decided to use that against me.

“What would you like to order?” the girl asked, looking polite. I hadn’t seen her before. Maybe she recently started working there.

“Pancakes and a pina colada,” I said.

“I noticed you’ve taken a liking to that drink,” Nora said, giving me a look. “Cheeseburger and a cocktail drink, please,” she said to the lady.

“Alright. Your orders will be out soon. Thank you,” the waitress said before leaving after taking our orders.

Nora turned to me. “So, as I was saying, when did you start drinking pina colada? I thought last time you said it tasted bitter. What changed now?” she asked.
