“Don’t you think you’ve done enough searching already? Maybe you—”
I immediately cut him off. “There’s no maybe, Ian. You and I both know how important this is to me. There’s no going back now,” I voiced out. Ian raised his hands up in surrender. He always has a way of making me pissed. He knew how claiming the position was to me. “The Silver Pack is divided. It has happened before, and I can’t let it happen the second time.” I smoothened my tie, turning around to face Ian.
“Do you still think I’m doing this for my best interest?” I asked, grabbing my suitcase that was lying on the bed. Ian shook his head.
“No, I don’t. But you should cut yourself some slack. What if your mate is some weird, ugly girl?”
