Little talks were exchanged between us as we made our way toward our office.

Laura’s office was the next room after mine. Sometimes, she checked in during lunch or when we were having a meeting. At first, I didn’t give her that much face. But then, seeing how hard she was trying, I decided to be friendly toward her. But that didn’t mean I felt any attraction toward her. She’s a beautiful woman. But I don’t do love. I have no place for love or any form of relationship in my heart. That is for sure.

“By the way, are you aware of the upcoming student week activities?” She was still trying to make small talk.
