I was sure of my suspicions when Hunter’s car came to a halt in front of our house. I didn’t wait for him to switch off the engine when I opened the door and made my way out.

“Let me,” he said when I was about to open the back door to take my things. I didn’t object because I knew it would only piss me off. So I allowed him to take the things out and passed me my stuff.

I didn’t still say anything and turned around to leave when he spoke up again, “Aren’t you going to take your card?”

My back was facing him as I heaved in and out a sharp breath. When I turned around, a faint smile curled up on his face. He was clearly enjoying what he was doing to me. At least he has forgotten the fact that I will still not go back on my word. I will not accept him as my mate.
