I paced around the room continuously as I awaited the arrival of Rose. For some reason, my mind wasn’t calm. I didn’t know why, but her thoughts had clouded my mind lately. I knew I was supposed to focus on finding her father and dealing with Nathaniel. But then, my heart wasn’t cooperating with me the past few days. When Ian alerted me that he saw Nathaniel heading around Rose’s area, I knew I had to do something, which is why I went to her house. And found out that Nathaniel was surely up to something. And as stubborn as she was, she found the slightest chance to make me angry, even if I didn’t plan on fighting with her she’d make that happen.

I really needed to get my act together and focus on my task at hand. I wouldn’t allow any woman to tame my heart.
