Isabella’s POV
I had walked back into my room about thirty minutes ago, but apparently, time wasn’t exactly a helping factor when it came to calming me down. If anything, the more time that passed, the more I felt my anxiety levels shoot through the roof.
Fuck.
I cursed under my breath, but as usual, that wasn’t helping either. My stomach churned, and I could count a number of emotions swirling in there and fighting for dominance. My mind was a mess, but it did nothing to hide the fact that I was scared. No, not scared—terrified. Petrified. Whatever word could be used to describe how scared I was right now. In all honesty, I wasn’t even sure they had come up with a word to properly convey just how terrified I was.
