Nolan’s POV

I staggered blindly by the intensity of the pain; I couldn’t control myself. Tristan’s anguish echoed my own. Memories of her flooded my mind, and I winced as the sharp pain once again rippled through me.

“You can feel her? She’s alive; she has to be somewhere.” Simon suddenly called out to me. He looked hopeful. I could barely open my mouth to speak when it suddenly stopped. The pain just disappeared. What the heck just happened to me? What did it mean?

The woman on the floor seemed to sense my turmoil, and a sly smile graced her lips. She revelled in my distress. “You see? Your mate doesn’t want you. Your mate is in danger and saved by someone else. Maybe she has fallen into another’s arms? Maybe it is Griffin. You should have thought twice before barging into here.” She taunted.
