Chapter 133. Thirst
Maggie POV
It’s pitch black in here, without even the sliver of a window like I had back in my room. I blink into the darkness, wishing I were older and had my wolf so I could shift and see something... anything.
The musty smell is worse with the door shut. I suppose I should be thankful that opening the door earlier had let in a little fresh air from the hallway, or it would be even harder to breathe.
I raise my arms and wrap them around myself, shivering. My bottom aches from where I landed on the concrete floor, but I don’t think it’s anything more than a bruise.
So, I decide I need to move, even though it’s so dark in here. My other senses seem to be well-tuned since I can’t see, and I feel a hint warmer air coming from the direction of the door—I think.
