Crystina’s POV

"How did it go?" I asked as soon as Luka held my hand. Having met with him at the hospital about a second ago, I realized he had been waiting for me. I was the one who called him and asked for us to meet up here instead of bringing him back to the apartment.

"Are you fine? You look pale," he noticed.

He was really an observant person but got more observant these days. I tried to hide that away from him by using a little makeup but I guess I just wasted my effort in that aspect.

"I’m good. I threw up a little while I was at home,"

"A little?" He raised an eyebrow.

I smiled, knowing I’d been caught lying again. "Does my body release pheromones that you sniff out whenever I lie?"

"You’re changing the topic baby,"

"Did it work?"

"It never works so why will it work now?" I laughed at that.
