Chapter 120. Romantic Gesture
Damian clicked open the door to Moriah’s room and walked in as quietly as he could so as not to wake her up. He held a tray on which two ceramic cups, a tea kettle, and a sizable breadstick sat. He wore a blank face, his eyes holding no emotions as he walked toward the table standing beside her bed.
He placed the tray on the table gently and turned to Moriah, who was buried beneath a thick, pale-white blanket, leaving only her head exposed. He let out a sigh, shutting his eyes, and walked to the window on the other side of the bed. He reached for the handle of the left window-door and pulled it open, letting in the bright rays of the early morning sun.
As the rays fell onto Moriah’s face, her brows furrowed in a subtle grimace. Damian was about to pull the second door open when Moriah’s dagger came flying at his head. He swiftly bent his head to the left, and the point of the dagger slammed against the right window door, piercing through it until the entire blade was bur
