Steven found himself pacing through the passages again after his conversation with the priestess. His eyes focused on the bandages wrapped around his right arm, he wore a bright smile on his face, thinking about the subtle smile the priestess threw at him as he slid her door closed. He pushed out a sigh, shutting his eyes as his smile grew wider. His light gray eyes, now a deep orange under the hue of the flame torches that hung from the passage walls, shimmered like two polished pearls—a show of the happiness that brimmed within him now that the priestess was no longer upset.
As Steven approached his room, he noticed something strange—his door was ajar.
