Chapter 43. Changing
Moriah and Prince Damian sat together in his royal tent. They both sat on a mat on the ground, their eyes focused only on their meals. Just like their previous dinner together, the atmosphere was a bit tense for Moriah, and none of them had said anything since they started eating. Moriah also tried as much as she could to steal glances at the prince while he ate his food.
"How... was the trip?” Moriah asked softly, raising her head slightly.
“The trip was... refreshing. I haven’t had so much space to think in a while,” Prince Damian replied, also raising his head. His words felt like a knife through Moriah’s chest.
“Does he mean I’m clingy?” Moriah thought to herself, her brows furrowing and her eyes widening in shock and worry. She let out a few coughs due to the shock and cleared her throat afterwards. She raised her head again slowly and was surprised a second time by the sight of Damian pushing forth a cup of water.
