Chapter 47. The Ambush

“Huh?” Moriah let out, staring out the window of the royal carriage. She and Damian sat face to face in the carriage and were headed to the western city’s military camp as they had planned the night before. They were escorted by multiple soldiers who positioned themselves behind and before the carriage to prevent a potential ambush.

“Is something the matter?” Damian asked.

Moriah quickly turned to him and replied, “Oh, it’s nothing. Something about those two people we just rode past caught my attention, but it’s nothing important.”

Prince Damian let out a sigh. “Alright, all I want right now is to be done with this mission quickly and leave this city.” He said.

Moriah remained quiet for a moment, staring down at her thighs.
