~Present day~
Deep inside an infinitely dark chasm, somewhere in the furthest reaches of my mind, where no light dared to reach, her bright blue eyes shimmered like polished diamonds under the sun. Staring at those glowing blue orbs, I felt a cold chill run down my spine. I could see the devilish smile on her face that made my skin crawl, and I could hear her voice whisper slowly as her lips parted.
“The consequences will be dire.”
“Consequences; I… I thought you said you didn’t know them,” I said softly, my voice shaking.
“Oh, I do; all werewolves do. But it’s something you have to experience for yourself, Celene.” Calliope's voice sounded again, echoing for a few seconds before fading into complete silence. As she spoke, she stepped out of the darkness, her entire body enveloped in dark blue flames mixed with black smoke.
