Chapter 4. Finality
Like the old times…my heart is beating so fast right now. I could feel the speed right in my chest. Towards the table, Red said, I saw Marco from there. I was wearing a gray V-neck t-shirt and black jeans. His thighs were far parted, and two elbows were bent and hands folded. His aura was so dark. I can see how the other woman in here looks at him with passion in their eyes.
His brows furrowed. His perfect angle of jaw makes me shiver. He’s so perfect. I have nothing wrong to say to him, from face and body. Damn perfect. But he was able to sit up when he saw me. I immediately approached him. I smiled sparingly at him. I don’t know if I will sit near or far. But in the end, I chose the one that was a bit close. My other colleagues looked at us. If I know, they all like Marco.
He looked at me seriously. I pulled down the hem of my dress because I guess my panties were peeking out! But when I did it, my breast showed up more! Ugh!
Whatever! Okay, just chest, not my femininity. Right? He tapped his side. I immediately looked at him.
I raised an eyebrow. “Huh?”
“Sit here.” He commanded.
Making me sit on his side makes my heart pound wild. Shit! I sighed and bit my lip. He didn’t seem to favor me being away from him, so he wanted to be close. So, I did. I sat down beside him. He ordered a bottle of wine and some juice. He put his hand on my waist, which surprised me, but I immediately ignored it. Damn! I’m sweating!
I ignored the throbbing and trembling of my muscles. I didn’t speak and was just looking at what he was doing. The veins in his hand gave me a shiver. It seems like he can destroy the equipment with just one hand. Goodness.
“When have you started working here?” He suddenly asked as he put down his shot glass. The mixed scent of his mint and alcohol invaded my system. His smell was addicting.
The more I just have a crush on him. “Uh, just a year ago,” I said, and I was also going to get a drink on the table, but he held my hand.
His jaw clamped. “Don’t drink,” he told me so firmly that I was surprised.
“O-okay.” I stuttered, and I felt him sniff my hair. He inhaled on it! I want to faint right now!
“Why here?” He lazily asked. I don’t know if I will answer or what? I’m nervous! I feel like I’m taking the exam right now.
I bent down and pinched my finger. “It’s because I need money. Because I don’t have parents anymore, so I have to take a risk.” I said nervously. Shit. He nodded and looked at his shot glass. He looked it around as if thinking.
“What if I want you out of here?” And he looked up at me.
My eyes widened with shock. Huh? Why? What does he mean? I shook my head. “I don’t understand,” I said softly.
“Let’s talk somewhere else.” He finally said. He put some money on the table before standing up and holding me.
I looked up at him. “Uh, where are we going?”
“In my condo unit.” He looked at his wristwatch. “It’s late. Let’s go.” I was nervous, but I stood up. Does he always take his women there? Huh?
My heart fluttered because of that.
There’s something in me I can’t figure out. It’s something mysterious in me. I only feel when Marco is there that I don’t think of others.
From the ride and when he arrived, he was just serious. So I did not speak.
I don’t know why I’m nervous about his face. As soon as we entered, he immediately took off his clothes, so I averted my eyes. Shit oh! No warning!
His every move was angry. It seemed heavy, and every step he took was the same.
His cell phone rang again, and he answered it. One of his hands was on Maria’s temple, and he was massaging it. Does he have a problem? He has been like that for a while. He has been answering a few calls. I heard him curse. I was immediately nervous. I was just on the edge of the sofa, standing. I looked at the clock on the side of the vase. It was already eleven o’clock in the evening. I was suddenly thirsty, so I decided to drink first.
I cleared my throat. “Uh. I’m just going to drink.” He looked at me with his brooding expression. He frustrated shook his head.
Before I could head to the dining area to drink water, he grabbed my arm violently.
I was so shocked by his sudden anger that I was still stunned.
“Sir M-Marco!”
“You lied!” He hissed. I frowned. What?
“Huh?” I just said, and his grip got worse. His fingers tugged in my arms.
“How old are you?!” He said while gritting his teeth.
My heart pounded immediately. Fuck?! Did he know I was only seventeen? Shit! How? I immediately shed tears of fear. Damn shit. How can I explain? Will he understand? Huh?
“Fucking answer me!” He is different now. What if I lied to him now? Is that a big deal to him?
“S-seventeen…” I said in a low, croaked voice, and my tears started to fall. I immediately bowed in shame and fear! He cursed under his breath. He immediately let go of my arm and turned around, and looked up. Why would he be angry? I need help getting everything.
“You lied for what?” he asked raspily without breaking his mad stare.
“C-cause I thought… You’re going to report me in law because I am a minor.”
“Exactly!” He shouted at me. “Minor, but that’s your job. You know what? I thought you were eighteen, too, because of the past. I forgot—” He stopped as if he realized something and kept quiet. I was a little angry when he shouted at me. I couldn’t quite understand what he meant because I was already hurt when he cried.
“What can I do? I need money. I need to study.” I said while crying. I cannot control myself.
“If you hate me, you can s-say it to me! You don’t need to—” That is everything I said when he pulled me and hugged me. I sobbed so hard in his arms. It feels like home. I felt at peace in his embrace. He cursed again.
“You are not going to work there. Just here for me. I’ll take care of everything.” His words, with finality, made me cry so hard. Will I be satisfied? Or will I be even more worried?
