Chapter 25. Going to Willamete Valley
Brooklyn noted the change in her employer’s attitude since that fateful night when he rescued her. He wasn’t the reckless, scary, devilish stalker that she had considered him to be. He was a weird but caring man who hated women yet cared about her!
The whole day, Brooklyn didn’t go out of Nikolas’s office room. Finally, it was 5 o’clock, and she had completed all her work. Suddenly, the door opened and Nikolas stormed inside. He walked straight up to her. “Done?” he asked gruffly. Brooklyn nodded at him.
“Yes, just.” She noticed the tired lines on his face. He stared at her for a split second and then suddenly came to his senses and walked over to his desk, gathering his belongings and stuffing them into his laptop bag.
“Get ready. We’re going to Willamette Valley,” he announced suddenly, making Brooklyn’s jaws drop upon hearing him. They would surely go home once, or wouldn’t they?
“Umm, when are we going?” she asked with wide eyes.
“Right now,” he sai
