Chapter 10
The good news was to be celebrated by the entire gang.
Heather went out to buy bottles of wine (both non-alcoholic and alcoholic, at Anna’s request), and Anna busied herself by calling everyone. She checked the time. It was Friday evening.
‘Boy, it feels like today has been dragging on forever,’ she thought to herself.
Anna wasn’t sure if everyone would be available because she had no idea when everyone would close from work or if they were even in a celebratory mood. She wasn’t even sure whether or not there was something to be celebrating in the first place.
“Isn’t it too soon to be throwing a party?” she had asked Heather, who was flying around the room, looking for decorations. Anna stayed in one corner, wringing her hands together worriedly.
Heather, in return, waved her off, casually debunking her worries.
