Chapter 8
Heather finished the rest of her food, stuck somewhere in between the emotions of worry, curiosity, and impatience. She sighed. Anna was always doing this ‘withholding of information’ thing with her. She wished she could retaliate sometimes, but it was impossible. When she needed to say something, she said it.
“So anyway, enough about me. How are you lovebirds doing? How is Zac?”
Zac Maron was the annoying intern that had waltzed into Heather’s life and broken the walls around her heart before later stealing it. She smiled. “I’m still super happy. He’s still super happy. We’re hap-hap-happy in love,” she replied.
Anna cringed. Of all the times she thought about friends she expected to turn to mush at the mere mention of a man, Heather had never crossed her mind.
“So I take it there hasn’t been any fighting, arguments, disagreements?”
