“What on earth do you think you’re doing?” both women said at the sight of each other, though for different reasons.
Anna brusquely walked over to Heather’s desk.
People stepped out of her way. They were surprised at her angry red face.
Anna had met her roommate’s coworkers previously at dinners, work parties, and other events, and they all saw her as a happy little ball of sunshine, so this hot red anger was a shock.
‘I would hate to be Heather right now,’ most of them thought as they either stared unashamedly or looked away.
“Why aren’t you at work?” Heather asked crossly.
“Why have you stopped using your brain?” Anna retorted, just as a cross.
Zac let out a small chuckle, and both women turned to glare at him.
He paled, apologized, and walked away.
“I came over to smack you back to your proper self. What do you think you’re doing drooling over that motherf—”
