Chapter 25. Awkward Dinner

Nolan’s POV

I checked out my appearance for the last time in the rearview mirror of my parked car. Satisfied by it, I held the gift bag tightly in my arms and made my way to the door. Genevieve won’t give me her house address so I had someone find it out for me. A mere thing like a house address can’t stop me from having dinner with them like I said I would. I rang the doorbell and stood with a smile on my face. The door suddenly opened and I met Genevieve’s mum.

"Good evening Mrs. Gonzales. It’s nice to see you again," I greeted politely.

"Evening Nolan, nice to see you too. How have you been and how are your parents?" she asked with a smile.

"We are all fine. This is for you," I said, extending the gift bag to her.

"You didn’t have to. You Sunnyville boys do know how to show your gratitude," she said as she took the bag from me.

"Sunnyville boys?" I inquired in surprise.
