Chapter 27. A Threat That Needs to Be Stopped

Audrey’s POV

Sitting in front of my dressing mirror, I picked up my phone and dialed Nolan’s number. I had been trying to reach him for the past couple of days, but his number was not going through. I went to his house to check up on him, but he wasn’t there. I placed my phone down and began to apply makeup on my face. I paused when a thought suddenly crossed my mind.

"He’s not refusing to pick up my calls on purpose, right?" I mumbled.

"No, he won’t do that. He must have not seen my calls. I will try again," I shook my head, dropping the lipstick in my hands and picking up my phone again. He picked up after the third ring.
