Miran, the Alpha’s niece’s POV
I had heard of the human girl since her arrival in the pack and even when she’d been dragged into the manor. They hadn’t seen me peeking from behind the doorway. The human looked dirty and weak. I hated her from the time I set eyes on her. I had hoped the Alpha would have done to her what he’d done to the others, but I was equally surprised when he asked for her to be taken to the cell. I had even hated her more when Ragel had been punished for speaking against what I thought was a ludicrous plan of merely putting her in a cell.
Maybe Ragel had gone a little overboard with his opinion; he’d publicly called the Alpha by name and had outright kicked against his order, which was unacceptable to any Alpha.
