Hazel's POV

"Lia. I like it. I get to bear names with someone strong and special." She sounded pleased with her new given name.

It had just come to me when I briefly thought about what to call her. We couldn’t share the same name. I guess that was why Hailen told me werewolves named their wolves. Not that I was fully committing to anything, but it just felt right to give her a name. Though, to be honest, I had quite enjoyed my conversations with her. It didn’t make me feel alone and lonely anymore.

She was an adequate companion. Unnecessarily dramatic. Yes. Interesting and funny. Yes to those too. I still felt pain searing all over my body, but my conversations with her managed to take my mind off my suffering.
