Chapter 17. Touch

Zidant gazes at Selena again. This time, she pouts, and Zidant's body experiences mixed feelings. "She's just looking at my  kissed.

"Why did he kiss me after what just happened?" Selena's lips curve into a smile.

"Why am I happy?" Selena immediately shakes her head. "That can't be."

Selena pulls up the blanket to cover her still-naked body.

3:00 PM.

Zidant is at the office, focused on reading documents provided by Gio.

"Sir, do you want to have dinner?"

"No."

"You should eat since you'll be working late."

Zidant stops reading the documents. "The Jekly Clan is infuriating me because of their actions!"

"They keep causing trouble for our clan. But why haven't you retaliated against them? They're so annoying and unafraid of our clan!"

"It's not the right time," Zidant replies.

Gio just looks at his boss. "But when will it be the right time, sir? The rest of us are so fed up with the Jekly Clan's existence.
