Chapter 8. Moving In
I took out my cell phone and searched for Asher’s contact information.
Me: “Hey, Asher, it’s Chloe. Thanks for your time earlier. I’m getting things organized while my dad reviews my lease. Would it be possible for me to move in next week?”
I waited anxiously, but the dots indicating that he was typing appeared almost instantly, reassuring me that he was responding.
Asher: “Hey, Chloe. Of course, we still want you to move in. No rush at all.”
I smiled and quickly replied.
Me: “That’s great to hear! Please let me know if it’s okay for my dad to come along before I sign anything.”
Asher: “It’s fine! Chloe, you’ve saved me, so thank you once again.”
I nearly yelled, ecstatic about the positive development on the horizon. Moving into a separate room was the fresh start I needed.
