Chapter 17. I Don't Need Your Pity
Vanessa got home in a bit. She got down from the car, pulled her bag along with her, and held her phone in her other hand. She stomped her feet on the floor in anger as she moved around the large compound towards the building.
She opened the door, and four maids were already standing in front of her to welcome her. They aligned themselves in a straight horizontal line. The maids had gotten quite used to it; it was something they did every day. They all bowed their heads down as they greeted her.
"Welcome back—"
The last thing Vanessa wanted to hear right now was the sound of maids talking simultaneously like robots. She threw her bag angrily at them to stop them from talking or at least shut them up. She walked away from them and headed for the stairs.
She got into her room and slammed the door loudly.
"Aish!" Vanessa shouted in frustration.
She looked around her perfectly decorated room. The room was very neat as well. The walls were painted pink
