I didn't know how long it would take for Lena to believe in me. I had to come to terms with the fact that Lena wouldn't trust me for a while. I had to convince her, to show her that my love for her was genuine.

When Lena agreed to let me be a part of her pregnancy and our children's lives, I felt happy. When I married her, I wanted to have a family with Lena. She and I had achieved that, even though the circumstances weren't the best. I never imagined this would happen to us.

My flight back to Seattle was approaching, and I knew that if I didn't get there, Carla and I would have a fight. I didn't care. Carla was also going to be a mother, but so was Lena. I had accompanied Carla to all her medical appointments ever since I found out we were going to be parents. Lena deserved the same.
