Chapter 35. I Want Everything with You

I left the hospital after Jake left. The doctors didn't discharge me, but I didn't care. What was happening to me had nothing to do with medicine. Doctors could never cure me of my condition.

I went home, hoping to find Jake there, but when I arrived, he wasn't. I searched the drawers and didn't find his clothes. Jake never moved in with me. But he left clothes in my room. If the clothes weren't there, it meant Jake wasn't lying about us being over. He left me for Dean.

My hopes faded. I had nothing left. I didn't know where I could find the strength to move on with my children.

Hours passed. I called Jake repeatedly, but he never answered. However, when someone knocked on the door, I smiled. Jake was back!

I opened the door, and my smile vanished. It wasn't Jake.

"Dean. What are you doing here?"

"No, what are you doing here?" He entered my apartment.
