Chapter 45
Winter’s POV
I still couldn’t believe Lordan actually helped me out, and I was trying to wrap my head around why, but I couldn’t dwell on those reasons for long.
I had what I needed for the soap, and that was what mattered.
While I made my way out of the dense bushes and toward the area where the soap would be prepared, an uncomfortable sensation began to take hold of me. My jaws itched, and I absentmindedly scratched them. Then, my arms started to itch intensely, followed by my legs. It was as if a wave of itching was sweeping over my entire body, and I could feel my skin heating up.
The itching became unbearable, and in my frantic state, I tossed the herbs aside to desperately scratch my skin. The discomfort was overwhelming, and I whimpered in pain as I tried to pick up the scattered herbs.
Eliza met me there.
“Oh my goodness, what happened to your body?” she exclaimed, “You’re all red!”
