My heart and skills went into making the dress as beautiful, creative, and presentable as I could because, in the end, it wasn’t about impressing Lordan but the dowager. This was merely a passage of gold through the fire, as I’d like to make myself think otherwise.
Once I was done making the dress, I made sure to subject it to all kinds of protection as I could because there was no doubt Dorra was going to have her eyes out, and the dress would be her target.
