Nathan's POV
I had grown accustomed to solitude ever since they left me. I used to have a wonderful family—a loving mother, a great father, a thoughtful brother, and a sister. I couldn't have asked for anything better than their presence in my life.
But everything changed eight years ago. School wasn't over, and I found myself stuck in my dormitory. My family had planned a camping trip, and I couldn't help but feel bitter that they had started their vacation without me.
Laura, my girlfriend who attended a different school, had joined my parents for the camping trip. I couldn't shake off the feeling of unfairness. How could they leave me behind in this wretched place? I wished my parents would have been more considerate.
