Nathan's POV

As I secured Alex within the silver cage, my mind raced with conflicting emotions. Anger, vengeance, and a sense of satisfaction mixed with a nagging feeling that I couldn't shake off.

There was a part of me that yearned for answers, a need to understand why Alex had turned against his own kind and why he spared me. But I couldn't afford to let my guard down. His actions had already cost me so much, and I couldn't risk further betrayal.
