Selene stared at the warrior in front of her. Something about him felt familiar, and not in a good way. She must have been staring for too long because he cleared his throat to get her attention.

“Sorry,” she apologized. “Uhmm, have we met?” She realized it was a stupid question the moment the words spilled out of her mouth.

“I’m a warrior of this pack, so you’ve probably seen me around,” he answered, looking at her weirdly. He probably thought she was stupid.
