Chapter 25

She opened the door to see the same warrior that came to call her earlier.

“The Alpha asked me to—” He stopped talking once he got a good look at her. She felt his eyes move along her body appraisingly. “Wow,” he breathed out.

Selene fidgeted under his gaze. He made her uncomfortable. She cleared her throat to get his attention away from her body. “I’m ready. We can go now,” she told him as politely as she could, closing her room door. He nodded and walked beside her.

She donned her gloves, completing her outfit. She felt the warrior’s gaze on her but chose to ignore it.

‘There’s something off about him,’ Athena said.

‘I know. I just can’t put my finger on it,’ she responded. She risked a glance at the warrior but quickly removed her gaze as she found him watching her already.

“I’m sorry. I seem to be making you uncomfortable,” the warrior said in a voice that didn’t fit his physical appearance.
