Her father had thrown a party for her to celebrate her eighteenth birthday. The age of eighteen was a big deal for werewolves. Her being an alpha’s daughter made it more of a big deal than it already was. It meant she was ready to have a mate who would hopefully lead the pack with her in the future.

After the death of her brother, the Elders of the pack called for a meeting with her father. Every pack had elders. Elders were a group of wolves who were blessed by the goddess with a longer lifespan and special gifts to help each pack grow.

Alphas seek the counsel of the elders when they need spiritual advice. The elders were also respected by everyone in the pack and were the only ones who could outright call out an alpha or luna. They were also very small-minded and conventional.
