Chapter 30

It was a very sunny day. The weather was so hot that most of the pack members were indoors while some were at the pack’s lake taking a swim. There were two people in particular who were neither indoors nor at the lake. Instead, they were doing something nobody should be doing in such weather, which made everyone think they had a death wish.

Thuds and grunts could be heard from the pack’s training ground by those in the pack house. The training area was a large expanse of land a few feet from the pack house. Sometimes, during sparring sessions, other pack members would stay on the balcony on different floors of the pack house, watching warriors spar. Sometimes, other pack members would spar with warriors, too.

It was mandatory in Moonshine Pack that every pack member knew basic defense once they turned sixteen.
