Chapter 42
Selene followed Tabitha back to the spot where she had made the cars stop earlier. They both seemed to have made a silent agreement not to talk about their exchange a few minutes ago.
Selene felt so much better after the hug and words Tabitha had said to her. It did not completely erase her grief, but it made her feel better. It cemented her belief that her mother and brother were watching over her.
“Timothy?” she said in surprise at the sight of the warrior standing where she left him and the others. “Why are you here alone? Where is everyone? Did they leave you here alone? Did Michael do this?” she asked him.
If Michael somehow made Timothy stand here alone, she was going to have a word with him. There has to be a limit to his pettiness.
“Calm down, Princess. You’re throwing questions at me without giving me a chance to answer them,” he told her in amusement. He found her cute.
“Sorry,” Selene said sheepishly. “But why are you here alone?” she asked
