Chapter 13
She growled as she banged the files on her hands hard on the desk in her office, scowling as the man in front of her jumped with fright. She sighed, running her hand through her hair, and cursed as she paced all the way from her desk to the wall.
She leaned against the wall and glared at the client. Yes, he better feel sorry for what he had done. She watched as he cringed in his seat, wringing his fingers.
She walked towards him and yelled at him. “Why didn’t you tell me the full story of what happened before you let us go to trial?”
His lips trembled as he replied. “I didn’t think it was needed.”
She scoffed. “You didn’t think it was needed? You were meant to tell me everything, and then I get to decide what is needed or not in the case.”
“I am sorry.”
“No,” she hissed at him in annoyance. “You don’t get to say sorry because you feel you are sorry and expect it will fix everything.”
