The ground obeyed the instructions of his feet, careful to make no sounds as he stepped on it. The boots on his legs crunched softly on the garbage carelessly dropped by the humans as if they also were afraid he was going to fling them off in anger if they exposed his whereabouts, and they wouldn’t get to sleep on the cradle they loved so much. Even the animals who loved to hoot and call to one another when the world was getting ready to sleep behaved as if they sensed his anger.
