Chapter 18. Coincidence

For the whole next week, Cadence's messages will only appear in my inbox if she has something to ask about. I don't know if this is a good benefit or what, but I don't think both of us are comfortable with each other after what happened in the argument we had. But then last night, she finally deposited the money we talked about, and she's not joking about the amount that she can give me.

I was pretty shocked to see a million dollars in my bank account. She really took this fake relationship seriously.

I still hate her, though.

As I was so happy with the amount she gave, my mood immediately shifted that very same night when my online friend told me that she'd cancel our plans again. It's been a week, and she's been doing that the whole time. I thought it would just be one time, but then days turned into a week all of a sudden.

She told me we could meet up really quickly tomorrow if it's okay with me, and I agreed with her. Perhaps she's really busy whenever sh
