Chapter 16. Drunk

"What are you doing here?"

That's the first question that came out of my mouth when Cadence motioned her hand to follow her outside, and as an obedient one, I followed her only to ask her that question.

"Someone invited me to come over," she immediately answered. "How about you? What are you doing here?"

"Don't you see? I wanted to have fun," I spoke the truth. Well, that's only half the truth, but she'll never know the real reason anyway.

"You didn't tell me again," she said as a matter of fact.

The effects of alcohol in my system are starting to creep in. I'd only drunk three shots of tequila earlier, and my alcohol tolerance wasn't that high. I'm not dizzy, but this is the scariest part of me when I'm under the influence of alcohol. I'll start to boost my courage to say something out of the blue.
