Chapter 24. To the Dangerous Meeting

“You’re dressed.”

When Cataleia ejected herself from her bedroom, Ares and Axel were just walking in the corridor right by her door. The two were utterly confused as to why the woman was dressed as if she was going somewhere.

“Do you have any appointments?” Ares asked her in a gentle voice as he always did.

“Your brother Aiden assigned me somewhere today.”

“Aiden?” Ares’s eyes became concerned. “Where?"

"He told me that I should accompany your Father today. To the Alpha's meeting, I believe."

"You're going to the Alpha's meeting?" Axel's brows angled worriedly. "But that place is for grown-ups only."

"Is it that bad?" 

"You are not required to go," Ares told her. "The Meeting of the Alphas is supposed to be a very exclusive event. By the name itself, only Alphas are supposed to join."

"Please do not underestimate me." she defended herself. "I am here to serve you, not to become a burden."

"What's the matter here?"
