Her heart was beating in her ears. The grip was strong but not tight enough to hurt her. She took a moment to look up at the person, mentally calculating how long it would take her to get her pepper spray.

“Spare me the lecture, please,” she retorted, but she was smiling. “How are you, Boss? And to what do I owe this after-work pleasure?”
