Chapter 33. Her Savior
Today was the first day of their vacation, and Nathan was spending it playing billiards with Jacob and Gabriel. No one was talking, and only the sound of billiard balls hitting each other and the table was the only noise in their clubhouse.
“It’s already vacation. Do you have a place in mind to go to?” Jacob asked, breaking the silence.
Seemingly not in the mood, Gabriel just shrugged.
Nathan paused for a while, but when he couldn’t remember it, he asked, “Where did we go on vacation last year?”
“I don’t know. I just remember you and Brent had a fight because of Ellie back then,” Jacob answered. Then he suddenly leaned closer to Nathan and intriguingly asked, “Be honest with us, Nathan. Do you like Allison?”
Nathan snorted at how quickly the latter changed the subject from Ellie to Allison and how Jacob and Gabriel looked at him as if he had committed a crime.
