Chapter 61. Unknown to Prey
Maxwell turned round from the window and looked at Sinclair. He had the habit of looking down the streets through his window because it reminded him of what life was before the fame. It brought back unpleasant memories but he enjoyed it.
He enjoyed thinking about the pain and hunger pangs, he enjoyed the image of homelessness and being beaten by the rain and sun. In it, he found who he was. It made him conscious of his achievements and how far he had come in life.
Sinclair was seated on the opposite chair in the office with a big smile at him, totally oblivious of his thoughts. It still baffled Maxwell how Sinclair had surfaced from nowhere after all these years and thought he could just win them over and everything would be fine.
He had no idea what Maxwell had to go through but was foolish enough to attach himself to his success. Maxwell grinned at him. The old cargo. He did not know Maxwell was only using him to bring down the strongest person in that family.
