Chapter 66. Help on the Way?

She sat still on the bed, hoping that help was on the way. When it would come, she did not know. She wondered if her message had gotten to Dave. Her mind had been playing tricks on her and she began to think the message might not have gotten to him and he had not seen it.

What if he had seen it and did not take it serious, decided to ignore it? Her mind further gave her suggestions to crush her hopes. They had not been in good times before now so what had made her think he would even do anything about it, and messaged him? She remembered the last time they had met and how he had passed as if she was invisible and did not acknowledge her even though she had greeted him.

Surely, it does not matter right? Whether they were dating or not, if he loved her not, that should not determine if he would help her nor not. She held her head in an attempt to prevent all the negative thoughts. She had to stay positive, she told herself.

Dave would not have to go through the worry
