Chapter 62. Working Hard to Redeem

Isabella sat on the edge of the bed, watching Alexander who was busy with his laptop on the table at a corner in the room. She sighed and walked up to him. She placed her hand on his head but he did not even look up at her. She closed the laptop and shifted it away and only then did he look up.

“Hey…” he held her waist and smiled a little.

“You have been on that laptop for hours now,” she said. “You need to take a break.”

“I will, but I need to finish this up. It is very important,” he told her.

Isabella made to lift herself up the table.

“Careful now,” Alex assisted her. “I do not want you hurting yourself, or the baby.”

He moved his hands to her protruding belly and she giggled.

“Your tummy looks like watermelon,” he said with a teasing smile and she hit him on the shoulder playfully.

“You sound so much like Alan,” She said and he laughed a little.

“I guess he is as excited as I am about the baby,” Alex smiled.

“You bet.
