Chapter 14. Suspicion

“Umm,” Jane’s boss looked from Jane to Jasmine; the strain between them was enough to cut through with a knife.

“What are you doing at my workplace, Jasmine?” Jane glared, ignoring her boss.

“I actually came to speak to you. It’s sort of important,” Jasmine’s voice was soft, traveling through every corner of the quiet office.
