Chapter 96. Evidence
Dave turned to Alex after they had seen the detective, Ethan, off.
“Why do I feel you kept some information from him?” he asked him.
“Information like what?” Alexander asked back. Dave sighed. He was certain Alexander knew exactly what he was asking.
“Like your involvement with Maxwell,” Dave elaborated. “I have a strong feeling it may have to do something with it.”
Alexander began to walk around the house, his hands behind his back. Dave followed him.
“What would I have told the detective? There is still no relevant evidence that Maxwell is behind this, is there?”
“But between me and you, we know what it is,” Dave insisted.
“You are right,” Alexander sighed and stopped walking. He turned and faced him. “I might not have told you but I had…” Alexander sighed again and continued walking.
“What did you do?” Dave looked at him questioningly.
“I told Bob my suspicions about Bethany…” Alex began.
“Your suspicions about Bethany?”
